South Florida Pines

'South Florida Pines' (Savanna Preserve) was created from a photo I took when standing at sunset on a trail in the Savanna Preserve off Walton Rd. in Port St. Lucie, FL. That's a spot easy to get to for a glimpse of old Florida without the traffic. Just love that area. There is even a kayak ramp into the marsh, but I haven't had the courage to explore that area just yet. Baby gators are all around, which means so is momma.

This is from a series of Florida landscapes done in acrylic with loose, painterly strokes. It is a 24x24 inch artwork done on a gallery wrapped 1.5" deep canvas. It is ready to hang as is (has clean white edges created by taping off before painting), or can be popped into a floater frame. I like to use many vibrant strokes and details to help make for an exciting piece. This one in particular has many layers to build up the texture by use of acrylic paint and shades of color.

This will be shipped with bubble wrap and cardboard, sometimes with recycled materials. This purchase is for the artwork only, does not include a frame. Each original will come with a signed Certificate of Authenticity as well.

**Please keep in mind that all computer monitors can display colors differently, but these photos were taken in daylight to offer the best representation of color.
